Ann C. Kato, Ph.D.
Ann C. Kato took her Ph.D. in 1972 from McGill University, Montreal, Canada in the field of neuroscience. From 1974 to 1977, she did her post-doctoral training at the Collège de France, Paris. In 1977 she joined the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva where she was Professor in the Department of Basic Neuroscience. Her field of research is in diseases of the nervous system. Today, she is retired and President of the Frick ALS Foundation fund. She is involved in humanitarian work to help girls' education.
Gabor Kato, Ph.D.
Gabor Kato took his Ph.D. in 1967 from McGill University, Montreal, Canada in the field of neuroscience. From 1974 to 1977 he was visiting scientist at the Institut Pasteur and the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris. From 1977 to 1992, he was head of Neuropharmacology at the Battelle Memorial Institute, Geneva, Switzerland. In 1993 he was founder and CEO of Neurotech SA, a Swiss biotech service company for developing drugs for psychiatric, neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases. Today, he is retired and consultant to several biotech companies. He is involved in humanitarian work to help girls' education.
